Believ Installs Ultra Rapid Charging Hub in Aberdeen

9 December 2025 by Googler

Electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator (CPO), Believ, is installing an ultra-rapid charging hub in Blackburn, Aberdeen, to help Scottish drivers and visitors to the region transition to EVs.

The hub is strategically situated on the A96 – Northern Scotland’s major road connecting Aberdeen to Inverness. It is also located by a coffee shop to give drivers the opportunity to enjoy a refreshment whilst they swiftly charge their cars.

Believ will fully fund the installation, operation and maintenance of the hub’s four 240kW dual socket EV charging points, enabling eight drivers to charge their vehicles at one time. Depending on the EV model, the chargers will enable most drivers to reach 0-80 per cent in under 20 minutes.

The Scottish Motor Trade Association (SMTA) has reported that Battery EV (BEV) sales surged by 57 per cent YTD compared to 2024, and that BEVs now account for 13.5 per cent of all new car sales in Scotland.

Guy Bartlett, Believ CEO, says this new high-speed charging hub is designed to serve Scotland’s growing number of EV drivers with charging infrastructure where it’s needed most:

“It is fantastic to see Scotland embracing EVs and we are delighted to be supporting the local community and regular users of this major route with convenient, reliable and accessible charging infrastructure,” he says.

“The hub is helping to ensure the transition away from petrol and diesel cars is as easy as possible, in support of our mission to ensure access to sustainable transport and deliver cleaner air for all.”
