EARTHING, BONDING AND LIGHTNING COURSE SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED IN KZN

The Earthing, Bonding and Lightning Course was successfully presented in KwaZulu-Natal on 15 and 16 July 2026, with a total of 11 delegates attending the two-day training event. The course was organised by Resheka Kamthaparsadh – Regional Manager of the ECA(SA) KZN Region, who coordinated the bookings and administrative arrangements, and was presented in association with Kenneth Roets.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with participants expressing appreciation for the quality and relevance of the training. According to Resheka, the course was well received and there is already interest in hosting a follow-up event later this year, potentially during mid-October or early November.

Kenneth Roets, an Associate Member of the ECA(SA), played a key role in the delivery of the training. Through his company, LP Gurus, he assists the ECA(SA) Highveld Region with Lightning and Protection training and has been actively involved in ECA(SA) training initiatives for the past two to three years. In addition, he occasionally serves as an ad hoc member of the ECA(SA) Highveld Regional Technical Committee, where he assists in addressing lightning protection queries and providing technical clarity to ECA(SA) members.

Over the years, Kenneth has become a valued member of the ECA(SA) training department, earning a reputation for his technical expertise and practical approach. The ECA(SA) Highveld Region has consistently received positive feedback from members regarding his presentations and support.

The success of the KwaZulu-Natal course highlights the ongoing demand for specialised training in earthing, bonding and lightning protection. It reinforces the ECA(SA)’s commitment to providing members with access to high-quality technical development opportunities.

Further details regarding future training dates will be communicated once arrangements have been finalised.
