ESTIMATING AND TENDERING COURSE

The ECA (SA) Port Elizabeth is hosting a three-day face-to-face Estimating and Tendering course in Port Elizabeth. The course will be presented by one of the electrical contracting industry’s Estimating & Tendering experts, Calli Pieterse. 

THE COURSE HAS A CAPACITY OF 30 CANDIDATES, AND ONCE FILLED AND PAID, WE CANNOT ACCEPT MORE PARTICIPANTS.

Key outcomes of the course

  • Understanding the costs to appreciate the profit.
  • Being equipped to price the job right and make the job worthy for business.
  • Being equipped to manage your risk(s) and protect your company.

Date and duration

The course will be held over three days from 5 -7 June 2025.

Time            

  • 08:00 – 16:00 (5-6 June 2025)
  • 08:00 – 13:00 /14:00 (7 June 2025)

Estimating & Tendering course content:

The course will cover:

  • Estimating requirements
  • Tender forms and tender enquiries
  • Tender documents – format
  • Measuring and extracting quantities
  • Costing and extracting labour content
  • Overhead structures
  • Applying profits and overheads to labour and material costs
  • Submission of the tender
  • Contract control

Who should attend:

Contractors, quantity surveyors, tendering and procurement staff, project managers, costing / estimating staff in the electrical contracting/construction industry.

Cost:

  • ECA members: R 5 300-00 per person (incl. VAT)
  • Non-members: R 6 240-00 per person (incl. VAT)

Above fee includes the study material, attendance certificate, refreshments and lunch.
