InstaVolt opens eight-bay ultra-rapid hub at Bicester Greggs

24 September 2025 by Googler

InstaVolt, the UK’s leading public ultra-rapid EV charging network, has unveiled its latest charging site at Greggs, just off the A4421 in Bicester.

The new installation features eight 160kW chargers, including two wider bays, enabling electric vehicle (EV) drivers to top up their batteries in as little as 15–20 minutes.

This strategic location, which serves the busy Oxford-to-Aylesbury corridor and is close to the popular Bicester Village outlet centre, offers drivers a fast, reliable charging experience with the added convenience of refreshments from Greggs.

It’s the latest example of InstaVolt’s commitment to delivering ultra-rapid, hassle-free charging at everyday destinations.

“Bicester is perfectly positioned on the busy Oxford-to-Aylesbury route, making it an ideal location for drivers who need reliable, fast charging,” said Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt.

“With eight 160kW bays and a Greggs on-site, drivers can grab a coffee, or a bite to eat while they charge and be back on the road before they know it. It’s exactly the kind of convenient destination that makes EV ownership effortless.”

The new site is the latest in InstaVolt’s growing network of ultra-rapid charging hubs, which now features over 2,000 chargers across more than 750 sites, from convenient locations close to amenities to larger hubs placed on key routes on the UK’s Strategic Road Network.

Open 24/7 and powered by 100 per cent renewable energy, InstaVolt’s chargers support contactless payment – including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amex, and all major debit and credit cards, as well as popular roaming cards – ensuring a simple and transparent charging experience.

The Bicester installation aligns with InstaVolt’s mission to accelerate EV adoption by making charging easy, reliable, and accessible across the UK. With more than 99 per cent network uptime and a user-friendly ‘tap to pay’ model, InstaVolt continues to lead the charge in public EV infrastructure.
