Effective today, March 16, 2026, Joaquín García Sanchis is appointed Global Head of Design at Electrolux Group. With over 20 years international design experience, he will be responsible for the Group’s design vision across the Electrolux, AEG and Frigidaire brands.
Joaquín García Sanchis brings more than two decades of design experience from the automotive industry. Previously serving as Head of Design at Italdesign-Giugiaro, he has built an extensive career shaping design strategy and innovation at some of the world’s leading automotive companies, including several brands for the Volkswagen Group, Ford Motor Company and Renault. In addition to his corporate experience, García Sanchis has also founded and led his own design studio.
In his new role at Electrolux Group, García Sanchis will be responsible for defining and driving the company’s overall design vision. He will lead all the design teams across Electrolux, AEG, Frigidaire brands, ensuring a cohesive creative direction while continuing to elevate design excellence across the organization.
García Sanchis will report to Elena Breda, SVP Product Strategy, Innovation, Sustainability. She says of his appointment: “I am very happy to welcome Joaquín to Electrolux Group. With his forward-looking design leadership, he will be instrumental in shaping a distinct and consistent branded design, delivering a seamless end-to-end consumer experience, and translating our brand identity and strategic pillars into clear and distinct visual languages across all brands, products and regions.”

García Sanchis is Spanish and will be based in Stockholm, Sweden.
