Tomorrow’s Engineers Week 2025: call for stories

2 October 2025 by Googler

Engineering and tech professionals urged to share trial and error examples to inspire next generation

Running from 10 to 14 November 2025, Tomorrow’s Engineers Week aims to shape young people’s perceptions of the industry. Bringing the community together, it shines a light on inspiring engineers and technicians and the many careers available. For this year’s theme, Dare to discover, EngineeringUK wants to show young people that engineering and technology is full of exploration and creativity – and that you don’t have to get it right first time.

To help bring the theme to life, EngineeringUK is looking for people working in engineering and technology to share their stories about when things haven’t quite gone according to plan, or they’ve had a different outcome than expected.

It’s also looking for people who haven’t taken a ‘straight’ path into the industry to talk about their career journey.

These stories will be included in resources shared with schools for Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, showing young people it’s ok to not get things right first time. From creative experiments to career paths that have taken unexpected turns, these stories will inspire the next generation to choose a career in engineering and technology.

Building on last year’s success, which saw more than 55,000 students across the UK take part in a #TEWeek lesson, EngineeringUK aims to engage even more young people aged 11 to 14.

To take part and share your story, please register your interest here or via teweek@eukeducation.org.uk. A partner toolkit will be available nearer the time for those interested in supporting the week via social media and email.
