Werner enhances Telescopic Tower safety with design updates

30 July 2026 by Googler

Werner, the global leader in the manufacture of ladders and access equipment for working safely at height, has announced the launch of a re-engineered Telescopic Tower.

The upgraded design offers greater versatility and now features integrated rung bumpers, helping to prevent fingers from becoming trapped during assembly and adjustment.

Dave Elson, Werner’s Compliance Manager, said: “As a business, we continually review our products to identify opportunities for improvement. The Werner Telescopic Tower is a popular choice among trade professionals, and these latest refinements make it even safer and easier to use.

“The integrated rung bumpers create additional spacing between the rungs, helping to reduce the risk of pinched fingers during set-up. While seemingly minor, finger injuries can be painful and disruptive, so this enhancement provides an important additional safety benefit.

“The tower can be erected by one person in as little as three minutes and is available in five platform heights: 1.1m, 1.3m, 1.55m, 1.75m and 2.0m. Designed for quick and simple assembly, it can be adjusted to provide a working height of up to four metres.

“Portability is another major advantage. The tower folds down into a compact size, making it easy to transport and store, even in smaller vans.”

Additional features of the Werner Telescopic Tower include:

• Large aluminium platform with trapdoor for easy access

• Toe boards to help prevent tools and materials from falling

• Three-part design comprising the tower, platform and toe boards

• Integrated stabiliser bars for enhanced safety and stability

• Five-year guarantee against defects in workmanship and materials

Dave added: “Werner is committed to providing high-quality products that help professionals work safely and efficiently at height. The Telescopic Tower is just one example of how we continue to innovate and enhance our range to meet the needs of users across the trade sector.”
