WIT celebrates successful ninth conference as organisers look ahead to 10th anniversary

13 July 2026 by Googler

For nine years, WIT Conference – the UK’s only annual conference run by tradeswomen, for tradeswomen – has brought together hundreds of tradeswomen from across the UK, creating friendships, mentoring relationships, business opportunities and growing a network of women supporting one another in industries where they remain a tiny minority.

Once again, women travelled from across the UK to spend the day learning, networking, sharing experiences and catching up with old friends while making new ones.

Inspirational keynote speaker Bonita Norris had the audience laughing one minute and wiping away tears the next as she shared the story of becoming the youngest British woman to reach both the summit of Everest and the North Pole.

While the speakers, lunch, goody bags and raffle are always popular, the organisers say the real success of WIT is what happens between the sessions.

“Every year we watch tradeswomen meet other tradeswomen. Every year they leave with new friends, new contacts and renewed confidence. Every year it matters.

“Working in skilled trades can still be an isolating experience for many women. WIT exists to enable them to become part of a lasting community.” Says WIT founder and MC Hattie Hasan MBE

As planning begins for WIT’s milestone 10th Anniversary on Friday 2 July 2027, the organisers are inviting companies across the skilled trades to become part of this special year for the UK’s only annual conference run by tradeswomen, for tradeswomen.

Whether through sponsorship, raffle prizes, goody bags or simply encouraging women from their workforce to attend, organisations have an opportunity to help celebrate ten years of building connections, confidence and careers for tradeswomen across the UK.

If you’ve ever thought about supporting WIT, next year is the year to do it.

Every year it happens. Every year it matters.
