Woodward Group invests in new green facility to power next phase of growth

25 February 2026 by Googler

Burton-based mechanical and electrical contractor, Woodward Group, has moved into a new, custom-built facility on Shobnall Road, Burton on Trent, which will provide expanded office space for the company’s growing workforce.

Designed by David Granger Architectural Design, sustainability was central to the development, with the building incorporating 50kW+ solar panels with battery storage, energy-efficient LED lighting, a high-efficiency air handling unit (AHU) system and EV charging points to support the company’s growing electric vehicle fleet.

The interior has been fully refurbished to create a modern, collaborative working environment, including breakout spaces, a dedicated training room and workspaces designed with staff wellbeing in mind.

The new facility underpins Woodward Group’s planned expansion over the next five years, enabling increased capacity, greater operational efficiency and the delivery of larger, more complex projects. It will also enhance the company’s capability to improve lead times and support local employment across the region.

Aden Woodward, Managing Director at Woodward Group, said: “Moving into our new premises is a major step forward for Woodward Group and the perfect way to kick off 2026. The new space gives us the infrastructure and flexibility we need to support our team, invest in new capabilities and continue delivering high-quality, turnkey solutions for our clients. This move reflects our confidence in the future and our commitment to sustainable growth in the East Midlands and across the UK.”
